Just as our local business community focuses on innovation, so does the Montana Science Center. We invite area businesses to share in STEM learning through exploration and we welcome any business interested in investing in our community, now and for future generations, to join our family.
Science, technology, creativity and critical thinking are at the forefront of our children's learning. We are offering a way for the business community to support our ability to invite families to explore and learn together through imaginative exhibits, innovation stations, and high-tech computer programs.
MSC is one of Bozeman's main museum attractions, offering hands-on exhibits, summer science camps, after-school activities, and educational programs throughout the year. In 2017, we welcomed 18,000 visitors and interacted with thousands more through school outreach and community events.
While technology is becoming an important workforce that is incredibly important in teaching our young generation, our world is increasingly speeding up in pace. We know how difficult it can be to slow down and explore with children on their level. MSC facilitates this experience, providing parents with an opportunity to learn and discover alongside their children. This important collaboration is an invaluable building block for our community, and it is at the heart of our mission.
We understand that children make profound meaning from direct experience, and facilitating pathways for hands-on exploratory play is what our Science Center is all about. As part of our growing commitment to STEM education, we founded the innovative STEAMlab program, offering personally relevant project-based learning opportunities to kids ages 7 and up with the aim of bolstering interest and expertise in 21st-century skills. Since 2015, STEAMlab programs and activities have reached more than 4,000 children.
