Just as Bozeman's business community focuses on innovation, so does the Montana Science Center of Bozeman. We invite businesses to share in STEM learning through exploration. We welcome any business wishing to invest in our community, particularly in the future generation of Bozeman, is invited to invest in our Museum.
Science, technology, creativity and critical thinking are at the forefront of our children's learning. We are offering a way for the business community to support our ability to invite families to explore and learn together through imaginative exhibits, innovation stations, and high-tech computer programs.
MSC has grown into one of the city's main museum attractions, offering hands-n exhibits, summer science camps, after-school activities, and educational programs throughout the year. In 2017, we welcomed 18,000 visitors and interacted with thousands more through school outreach and community events.
While technology is becoming an important workforce that is incredibly important in teaching our young generation, our world is increasingly speeding up in pace. We know how difficult it can be to slow down and explore with our children on their level. Our Museum facilitates this experience, providing parents with an opportunity to learn and explore with our children and providing our children with the chance to bond with their mentoring adults. This special facilitation is an invaluable building block for our community, and it is fulfilled as the heart of our mission.
We understand that children make profound meaning for direct experience, and facilitating pathways for hands-on exploratory play is what our Museum is all about. As part of our growing commitment to STEM education, we founded the innovation STEAMlab program, offering personally relevant project-based learning opportunities to kids ages 7 and up with the aim of bolstering interest and expertise in 21st-century skills. Since 2015, STEAMlab programs and activities have reached more than 4,000 children.
STEAMlab is guided by an Advisory Board of industry professionals offering expertise in curriculum planning, technical instruction, and organization and management. Help create a vital community hub for high-tech learning and a model for museum and library programs around the country, right here in Bozeman.
