Just as Bozeman's business community focuses on innovation, so does the Montana Science Center. We invite businesses to provide STEAM learning through exploration to our community through a Supporting Business Membership.
Science, technology, creativity and critical thinking are at the forefront of our community's learning. Business Memberships support opportunities for families and classrooms to explore and learn together through imaginative exhibits, innovation stations, and high-tech computer programs.
MSC has grown into one of the city's main educational attractions, offering hands-on exhibits, summer science camps, after-school activities, and engaging STEAM programs throughout the year. In 2019, we welcomed 21,000 visitors and interacted with thousands more through school outreach and community events.
Additionally, high-tech is a dominant industry in our state that is driving workforce needs. In order to facilitate this, it is incredibly important to teach our youngest generations the skills they need to adapt to the pace of growth in our world.
We understand that children make profound meaning from direct experience, and facilitating pathways for hands-on exploratory play is what our Science Center is all about. Introducing members of our community — of all ages — to a foundation of STEAM topics as fun, engaging experiences drives a desire to learn more about real world problems and to look into innovative ways to solve these problems.
As part of our growing commitment to STEAM education, we founded the STEAMlab program, offering personally relevant project-based learning opportunities to kids ages 7 and up with the aim of bolstering interest and expertise in 21st-century skills. Since 2015, STEAMlab programs and activities have reached more than 10,000 participants.
