A Message from Abby Turner, Executive Director

Dear Members and Friends,
For the past six years, it has been my pleasure and deep honor to have served as the Executive Director for the Montana Science Center. Right from the start, you warmly welcomed me and have continued to lend your support every day since.
Today, it’s time for me to make big changes in my life and announce my departure from MSC. I have made a heartfelt decision to depart from my position this fall, driven by a deep desire to pursue new passions and spend some earned time with my family. I strongly believe in the importance of discovery and personal growth, and this step will allow me to be there for my loved ones in a more meaningful way.
I have loved working with our amazing staff, board, committee members, and volunteers. I am grateful for the valuable lessons I’ve learned and all of the memorable moments we’ve shared over the years. It was a bittersweet decision to resign from my role, however I firmly believe that MSC is stronger than ever and our work will carry forward in the skilled hands of our staff. I’ll never truly leave MSC. Our mission is part of my personal mission too. I look forward to being a member and supporter and helping in any way needed.
Our Board of Directors recognizes the importance of continuity. They have established a transition team and are moving with deliberate speed to recruit a new leader prior to my departure in late October. Watch for communications from the transition team in the coming week, including the search for the new director of this really fun organization.
Thank you for all you do to support MSC. Your support has enabled us to provide the community with unparalleled opportunities to explore the wonders of science, sparking their curiosity and nurturing their passion for learning.
