Save the Date for Fall Day Camps! Schools out camps will feature time in the Science Center and in the STEAMlab where we will work through challenges with creativity and invention.
We can’t draw something without seeing it very clearly. Scientific illustrators use their powers of observation to record details about the animals and plants they draw. Join professional illustrator Susann Lavold for an exploration of animal form and function through drawing. Students will learn to draw animals such as a deer and a bear step by step. As they work, they will learn how an animal’s body is made up of basic shapes, and how its body parts are adapted to a particular animal’s environment and lifestyle.
