Birthday parties are a piece of cake at the Science Center! Available Saturdays only, all year round. Choose from two 90 minute time slots: 10-11:30am OR 2-3:30pm

Add Minecraft , Soldering, or Slime!

  • Minecraft $100
    - 45 min. of mentored Minecraft in the STEAMlab and 3D-printed party favors.
  • Soldering $100 (for Ages 9+)
    - 45 mins. Learn to solder a flashlight or unicorn pin! 3 weeks advance notice required to order pins.
  • Slime $75
    -It oozes between your fingers when you pick it up, yet doesn’t stick to your skin. At times it acts like a liquid, but at other times, it appears to be a solid. The more you play with it, the more fun it becomes!

Birthday Party FAQs

How many kids can I invite to my party?

Your party includes free Science Center admission for up to 12 children. Additional children may be added for $11 each, up to a maximum of 16. Add-on options (Hands-on Science and Minecraft) are limited to 12 children.

Can I invite adults, too?

Yes, we welcome adult guests at no charge. We recommend that you bring at least one adult for every 5 children to provide supervision during your Science Center experience.

What if I have to cancel or reschedule my party?

Full payment due at booking. Full Refund (minus $75 admin fee) if cancelled outside of 14 days. Non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days of birthday unless spot can be filled by another family. 12 kids included with party, unlimited adults. Additional kids over 12 are charged at $11 admission rate. Balance due upon party starting. Access to party room 30 minutes prior to start time of party.

Where should my guests park?

The Science Center has a large parking lot in front of our building.

Can I decorate the party room?

The Birthday Party room doubles as our Science Classroom. If a Best birthday party is booked, minimal decor will be hung up, such as a birthday banner. Please do not bring pinatas, glitter, or confetti.
Decorations in the party room may only be hung with blue painter’s tape. Masking tape and tacks are not permitted, as they can cause damage to the walls. You are welcome to bring your own table decorations. Please be advised that our ceilings are very high, so helium balloons that become loose will not be accessible.

Does the Science Center provide plates and napkins?

If you have booked a Basic Birthday Party, you should provide your own paper goods. If you have booked a Best Birthday Party, we will provide the plates, napkins, cups, and utensils for you. You are welcome to bring your own cake, have pizza delivered, or bring other refreshments. All food and drink must stay upstairs in the party room.

What are the party activity add-on rules?

Add-ons are limited to 12 children. Minecraft will take place in the first 45 minutes of your party, and hands-on science activities will begin 15 minutes into your party and last for 30 minutes. No food or drink is allowed in the STEAMlab at any time. All STEAMlab rules must be followed.
