A Montana resident since 1997, Steve moved to Bozeman at the height of the pandemic in 2020 and discovered the wonders of the STEAMlab with his son, Cedar, not long after.

Steve has loved to create objects, images, and words for most of his life, blending real world and digital craftsmanship. He is an ardent career science communicator, drawing on training as a biologist at the University of Oregon and a PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Cornell University.
